MeteorComm has partnered with NRCS to produce the Soil Climate Analysis Network,
known as SCAN.
SCAN provides rainfall and temperature information to farmers. It also measures
soil moisture and temperature at five depths, wind speed and direction, solar radiation,
barometric pressure, and water quality. In addition, it gives accurate readings
of snow depth and water content. SCAN is active in over 100 sites in the United
States and Puerto Rico.
