The MCC-520B/C Master Station is a VHF communications terminal. As the main component
of a meteor burst communications system, it can be used for both message and data
communications. The MCC-520B/C controls the routing of messages and data throughout
the system, all on a single frequency in the 40-50 MHz range.
The MCC-520B/C may be expanded into various configurations to support networks that
have thousands of remote stations. Advanced noise blanking ensures consistent operation
in “noisy” radio environments. Automatic network control will deliver
messages and data to all nodes through the network with complete automatic message
accountability. The performance of the system is automatically monitored to provide
the user with up-to-date information on network operation. All software is PC-DOS
compatible for easy software development and interfacing with customer equipment.
The MCC-520B/C is fully compatible with the entire MCC product line for message
and data communications, including the MCC-545-B/C RF Modem and the MCC-550C Remote
Data Terminal.
